Meet the Instructors: Lindsay Longacre
Meet LVL Academy Instructor: Lindsay Longacre (Ferguson)!
A Midwest girl at heart, Lindsay was born and raised in a small suburb west of Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up, she loved planning parties and taking leadership of any events. Making a career out of that passion was something she didn't even know was possible at the time. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Communications not knowing what was next for her. She decided to take a leap of faith and experience city life in Chicago.
Lindsay found herself working as a recruiter at a financial firm getting her first taste of what a 9-5 career is like. Needless to say, her entrepreneurial spirit was left unfulfilled. One day, on a street corner in khakis and a work polo, she had an epiphany. Lindsay remembered her love of planning parties and began calling every wedding planner she knew. She kept her 9-5 job while assisting events on the weekends until she finally got her own wedding. And it was a game changer.
After her first wedding, Lindsay fell in love. She knew this was the career path for her. So she took a leap of faith and moved to California where she knew no one, but knew the industry was booming year round. It was then that LVL Weddings & Events was born.
The first couple years in the industry were rocky as Lindsay realized just how difficult starting a business from the ground up could be. But with a strong drive & entrepreneurial spirit inherited from her mother, Lindsay was determined to make LVL the best it could be. She began bartending and even starting her own cleaning company while LVL got on it's own two feet.
After two years, it was clear that the industry lacked a sense of a team approach. She had a vision to work with fellow planners to create a company that plans 200 (or even 500!) weddings year. A few local planners (one being Heather, co-owner of LVL), realized they loved planning weddings but didn't enjoy owning a business. And just like that, LVL grew into a team of planners.
Fast forward 10 years and LVL Weddings & Events is now a team of 24 employees and produces about 150 weddings per year & counting! Lindsay now plans luxury Hawaii & destination weddings and her entrepreneurial spirit continues to elevate LVL to new heights.

1. There is no paleo recipe that Lindsay hasn't fallen in love with
2. In her ideal world, she could wear sweatpants everyday
3. Take a peek in her office and you'll find salt rocks, essential oils and more... making her our token office hippie ;)
